Do you ever find yourself in a situation where your phone is on your desk, but you're in another room and can't hear it ring? Or maybe you're at your desk but don't notice that you missed a call because your device doesn't have a notification LED. Vibration Notifier provides a solution to this problem.

With Vibration Notifier, when you have a missed call or an unread SMS, the app will continue to vibrate at regular intervals until you turn on the display of your device. This ensures that you never miss an important notification again.

It's worth noting that the app won't beep if your device is set to silent mode. Also, Vibration Notifier doesn't change the vibration settings of other apps. It simply adds additional vibrations or beeps if you don't turn on your display.

One optional feature that can be purchased through an in-app purchase for 0.99 EUR is the ability to have these repeating vibrations on your Android Wear smartwatch. This is a convenient feature for Android Wear users who want to stay informed even when their phone is out of reach.

Vibration Notifier supports all apps that send notifications to the Android status bar, including popular ones like WhatsApp, GoogleTalk, Twitter, and Facebook. However, please note that access to your notification bar is required for this feature to work properly.

If you encounter any issues with the app not working, it's recommended to check if your device manufacturer has implemented any features that might prevent apps from running, such as Samsung's "Battery Optimizer," Sony's "Stamina," or Huawei's "Protected Apps."

Regarding silent hours functionality, it's important to note that setting up a silent hours interval in Vibration Notifier will only prevent the app itself from vibrating or beeping. It does not mute other apps, so if you receive a new message in your Gmail app, for example, it may still beep.

By default, the app vibrates or beeps after the specified time set in the app and doesn't vibrate or beep immediately upon receiving a notification. However, there is an option in the app to enable the initial vibration on connected Android Wear devices.

Please be aware that the "vibrate on connected Android Wear devices" feature requires an Android Wear smartwatch and is not compatible with Pebble or Samsung Tizen watches. To confirm compatibility, you can use the test command option in the app to check if your device is compatible.

In order to provide its functionality, Vibration Notifier uses Accessibility services. On Android versions prior to 4.3, this is necessary to be notified about new notifications. However, on newer versions of Android, Accessibility services are no longer needed.

• VIBRATE - necessary to enable the "vibrate every X min" feature
• READ_PHONE_STATE - needed to detect missed calls
• RECEIVE_SMS & READ_SMS - needed to detect unread SMS messages
• WAKE_LOCK - required on some devices to avoid infinite vibrating
• READ_CALL_LOG & READ_CONTACTS - necessary to differentiate between missed and rejected calls
• READ_CONTENT_PROVIDER & GET_ACCOUNTS - required for a new method to get unread Gmails
• WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - used for Android Wear communication
